Turbine Efficiency Power Services offer a Site Survey Service; this is a bespoke review of a customer’s Operation that can include just the gas turbine alone or up to a complete review of the whole plant from a beginning to end.

Critical to any gas turbine operation is the Maintenance Regime that is pursued. The review will examine the customer’s current strategy and compare it to the actual needs as revealed from the site survey.

The review can also include ‘soft issues’ like Safety and Environmental exposure

Site Survey Scope

Power Services recommends the full survey to be performed in order to capture all the peripherals that ultimately affects the efficiency and costs of the operation.

Scope Summary – Gas Turbine:

• Gas Turbine Driver – An examination of the running regime and overall efficiency from an enthalpy, controls optimisation, auxiliaries operation as well as general visual condition
• Load Management (Generators) – A review of how load is managed in relation to optimum running for the specific turbine. Where fuel choice is an option the selection strategy versus cost per MW hr will be included.
• Emissions Management – A review of local issues relating to emissions and conformance

Scope Summary – Supporting Plant

• For CHP/Co-Gen, a review of the operation of the plant and issues emerging as well as opportunities for efficiency improvement

Scope Summary – Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE)

• Concurrently with the gas turbine and plant reviews our team will note any HSE issues that become obvious to a ‘fresh set of eyes’
• Our engineers have all functioned as HSE advisors at some level and may be able to give guidance on issues that are noted

Scope Summary – Training and Documentation

• The review will endeavour to ascertain if there are training and competency issues that have the potential to affect the efficiency of the operation

Deliverables

• Power Services will produce a Site Visit Report that will disclose all of the findings and, where applicable, make recommendations.
• Power Services will be able to help in many if not all areas of support including Short and Long Term Maintenance Agreements, Technical Support and Advice, Maintenance and Operational Documentation upgrades as well as offer Staff Training.
